Email Broadcasts
Send announcements, promotions, or updates to all your members or specific groups:
Creating a Broadcast
- Navigate to Communications โ Broadcasts
- Click "Create Broadcast"
- Fill in broadcast details:
- Subject Line: Clear, compelling subject (keep under 50 characters)
- Preview Text: Appears after subject in inbox
- Sender Name: Your gym name or personal name
- Reply-To Email: Where member replies go
- Compose your message using the rich text editor
- Choose recipients (see targeting options below)
- Preview the email on desktop and mobile
- Schedule or send immediately
๐ก Tip: All broadcasts automatically include your gym's branding (logo, colors) and an unsubscribe link for compliance.
Targeting Options
Send to specific member groups:
- All Active Members: Everyone with an active subscription
- By Membership Plan: Target specific tier (e.g., "Premium" members only)
- By Class Type: Members who've attended specific class types
- New Members: Joined within last X days
- Inactive Members: Haven't attended in X days
- Custom List: Upload CSV or manually select members

Sending Broadcasts
Send emails immediately or save them as drafts:

- Send Now: Immediate delivery to all recipients
- Save as Draft: Finish composing later and send when ready

Understanding Email Credits
ClearGym uses a credit system for email broadcasts:
What Are Email Credits?
- 1 credit = 1 email sent to 1 member
- Sending to 100 members = 100 credits used
- You get 5,000 free credits when you sign up
- Purchase additional credit packs as needed

โ ๏ธ Note: Transactional emails (booking confirmations, password resets, etc.) don't use broadcast credits. Only marketing emails count.

- Go to Communications โ Broadcasts
- See credit balance in top-right corner
- View total credits remaining
Purchasing Email Credits
When you need more credits, you can purchase additional credit packs through the Communications section. Credits are added immediately to your balance and never expire.
Broadcast Tracking & Analytics
Monitor the performance of your email campaigns:

- Delivery Rate: % of emails successfully delivered
- Open Rate: % of recipients who opened the email
- Click Rate: % who clicked links in the email
- Unsubscribe Rate: % who opted out
- Bounce Rate: % that couldn't be delivered

- Go to Communications โ Broadcasts
- Click on a sent broadcast
- View basic analytics including total recipients and delivery status

- Open Rate: 20-30% is good, 30%+ is excellent

ClearGym automatically sends transactional emails for key events:

Members can control which emails they receive:

- Members can unsubscribe

- Transactional Emails: Bookings, payments, account
- Cannot be unsubscribed (essential for service)
- Sent regardless of marketing preferences
How Members Update Preferences
- Member logs into their account
- Goes to Account โ Notification Preferences
- Toggle on/off:
- Marketing emails
- Class reminders (24h before)
- Monthly summary emails
- Changes save automatically
Viewing Unsubscribed Members
See who has opted out of marketing:
- Go to Communications โ Unsubscribed
- See list of members who opted out
- View unsubscribe date
- These members won't receive broadcasts (but still get transactional emails)
